Why boost your immunity?
Times are tough. We are all collectively fighting against COVID 19 (Coronavirus). While most of the nation and world are under lockdown, it can be difficult to keep our anxieties and panic at bay. While the doctors, nurses, hospital staff, police, delivery men, and others are working tirelessly day in and day out to help everyone affected, we should take steps to help them as well.
If there is something we can do to help those who are helping us is to boost our immunity. Yes! A simple step can help our immune system stay strong and fight against the dangerous pandemic that has taken over the world.
Why is it so important?
We know nothing can help us against COVID 19, simply because it is a new virus and not much is known about it. However, boosting our immune system can help it fight off every flu, cold, and virus. You do want your immune system to act fast, don't you?
What to do?
There are a few things I do to ensure to boost my immune system. I basically make super-drinks for myself. These are quite simple to make and will hardly take you a couple of minutes. Integrating these food items means catching one less flu or cold and getting the ability to have a speedier recovery when you do fall sick.
So, without further ado, let's look at the few things I do -
1. Lemon Water with Turmeric
I am lazy. I cannot wake up every morning, squeeze a lemon, add turmeric, and then drink it up. Do you resonate with me? Good, because I have got a nice hack for you that will make this long process as quick as snapping your fingers.
Disclaimer: For this hack, you need to take out 5 minutes from your routine so you can enjoy a quick drink every morning.

Step 1: Take a couple of lemons and squeeze them in a bowl. Make sure you wash your hands with soap first. Wash the lemons as well. I do not use a squeezer; I squeeze using my hands. I believe I can get all the juices out like this. But feel free to use a squeezer.
Step 2: Add turmeric in the bowl. I add about 1 teaspoon of turmeric.
Step 3: Mix well.
Step 4: Get your ice cube tray. I add one big tablespoon in each cube. This way I know I am adding one tablespoon to my water in the morning.
Step 5: Freeze and enjoy every morning.
In the morning, take a glass (I take a bottle) of warm water and add one cube. That's it. Enjoy the drink while you read the newspaper or a book, check out your social media or sit down to work.
2. Aloe Vera

Do you have an aloe vera plant growing at your home? Great. Take a couple of leaves, take out the pulp, blend it and put them in an ice tray, just like we did with the lemon. You can add turmeric as well. In the morning, mix a couple of cubes with warm water.
Most of us cannot think of drinking aloe vera juice because of its taste. My mother drinks this every morning, and trust her, it does not taste bad at all. You can hardly taste the aloe vera, but worry not, you are still getting the goodness of aloe vera and turmeric.
If you cannot do a lot, at least try drinking any one of these two drinks to help your immune system.
